Ethel, was named so, because her face looks just like Lucy, so much so that I get them confused often at first glance, despite being from different farms and different breeds. They like to hang out together too, so it was fitting to name her Ethel. 

Fibre & Breed info: 100% Wool: Polwarth, Blue Faced Leicester x Romney. Her locks are long, wavy to curly, and various shades white-cream. 

Weight & Characteristics: Aran, Plied,  hand dyed. 

Gauge: 16.0 to 20.0 sts /4in (10cm)

Needles: US 7 - 9 or 4.5 - 5.5mm

Hook: 4.5 - 5.5mm

Length: 180 yards (165 meters)

Yield: 100 grams (3.53 ounces)

Care: Handwash, lay flat to dry

She was born 23-March-2019, and has a daughter named Dolly who was born 14-March-2021. Ethel is a good mom. Like Lucy, Ethel has a full head of wool, that goes right above her eyes too, sometimes a lock will dangle in front of her eyes when her wool grows long. 

 

 Hand-dyed by Bobbi Jo, Hand-raised/grazed on our Permaculture-based farm in Prince Edward County. Locally (for us) Milled in Ontario.
